There are millions of Parkinson’s Patients suffering from poverty around the world. WPP’s mission is to improve the quality of lives of people with Parkinson's and their caregivers by providing medicine, education and other supportive services.

The purpose of this Gala is to bring awareness and to motivate people to join in our fight against Parkinson’s.


People who care about the community, and who have passion to help patients in need and strive to make a difference in a society. Canadians are blessed with such great qualities. The audience will include politicians, doctors, charitable organizations, prominent community members, businesses, passionate individuals and Parkinson’s Patients.


You can help people with Parkinson’s globally in many ways including:

World Parkinson's Program’s 2018 Gala Dinner is an exclusive high profile event of the year. It will be a sold out event with over 500 guests and dignitaries.

We will have the honor of welcoming Ms. Rasheda Ali-Walsh, who will join us in supporting this noble cause. She will be accompanied with Mr. John Bauman (FL, USA) who is an inspiration to many people with Parkinson’s around the world.




Resheda Muhammad Ali Author/Media Spokesperson President: RAW Dreams LLC

Rasheda Ali is an accomplished woman, following in her father’s footsteps by living a life of excellence. Rasheda is an author, media spokesperson, speaker, and Parkinson’s advocate. She advocates stem cell research and travels the world to raise awareness and funds for research into neuro-cognitive disorders. She’s the president of RAW Dreams LLC. She is the author of “I’ll Hold Your Hand So You Won’t Fall: A Child’s Guide to Parkinson’s Disease.” The book was inspired by her father and is translated into four different languages.

Rasheda Ali often posts positive, uplifting messages on her Facebook, such as a photo of her dad with one of his famous quotes: “Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare.” She admires her dad greatly and her entire career was inspired by his life.


John Baumann Motivational Speaker / Parkinson’s Patient

After 16 years with Parkinson’s, I have come to the realization that I am so much more than my disease. I am an attorney; professional inspirational, motivational, & educational speaker; Legal and HR Expert on Workplace Proactive Sexual Harassment Culture Program; University faculty member; and Author of the book Decide Success. John was diagnosed with Parkinson’s over 15 years ago, and since then he has been educating, motivating and inspiring businesses, non-for-profit as well as individuals – with or without – a chronic illness to perform their best. John is the Chair of Patient Mentorship Program at World Parkinson’s Program. He is the voice of hope and inspiration for those who are suffering with Parkinson’s.

Did you know…

  • As many as 10 million people worldwide are living with Parkinson's disease (PD), which is more than the combined number of people diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy and Lou Gehrig's disease.
  • Approximately 60,000 North Americans are diagnosed with Parkinson's disease each year, and this number does not reflect the thousands of cases that go undetected.
  • Incidence of Parkinson’s increases with age, but an estimated four percent of people with PD are diagnosed before the age of 50.
  • Men are one and a half times more likely to have Parkinson's than women.
